The Cheap Eyeshadow palette may be pricey, and if I’m being honest, I don’t always utilise all of the colours in one, so it might feel like a waste of money at times. Because most eyeshadow is too light for medium to deeper skin tones, I often find that the most popular and current eyeshadow palettes suit lighter skin tones.
If you know me, you know that one of my favourite components of makeup is playing with eyeshadow.
It took me years to learn how to apply eyeshadow and, more significantly, to grasp colours and formulas, as well as what works (and what doesn’t) for my medium brown skin tone and brown eyes.
After much research and testing, I’ve compiled a thorough list of eyeshadow palettes, both budget and high-end, that I think to look great on medium complexion tones and brown eyes.
Colourpop
Colourpop has some of the most budget-friendly eyeshadow palettes I’ve ever seen. The brand has a large selection of eyeshadow palettes with a variety of themes and colour stories.
Colourpop palettes, on the other hand, stand out for me because of their outstanding quality and low pricing. The eyeshadows mix seamlessly and have excellent pigmentation; the colours literally explode on the eyes and last a long time. There’s a lot of diversity and options in each palette, with mattes, shimmers, metallics, and occasionally glitters among the formulations and finishes. Colourpop palettes, particularly those with a single colour narrative, such as the yellow and blue ones below, are excellent as a counterpoint to neutral palettes.
If you’re familiar with Colourpop, you’re aware that the brand releases new products every few weeks, which means there are a lot of eyeshadow palettes to pick from. Here are a few that I would suggest:
Palette of Perception
This is a fantastic palette to use with a neutral or matte palette. There’s a fantastic selection of gold, blue, pink, and green shimmers that look great on brown eyes. Simpler eye looks are also possible with the brown mattes.
Regardless of Color Palette
This palette is perfect for everyday usage because it includes matte and shimmery browns, pinks, and corals. If you prefer more subdued colours, I think you’ll enjoy this one.
Honey Palette, huh?
In mattes and shimmers, this palette features amazing flashes of yellow, mustard, and ochre tones. It’s a more daring colour scheme, but it looks fantastic on brown eyes! This is a terrific companion palette for adding colour and shimmer to your look.
Palette of the Blue Moon
A whole blue-toned makeup pallet could seem excessive. Blue eyeshadow, on the other hand, truly pops against brown eyes. To get flashes of colour and glitter in blue and turquoise, I prefer to layer this palette with other palettes. The deep blue matte colour can also be used at night to create a smoky effect.
Huda Beauty is a well-known cosmetics brand.
Huda Kattan, the founder of Huda Beauty, is a Middle Eastern woman of colour, and her eyeshadow palettes are geared toward women with medium to deeper complexion tones and brown eyes.
Huda Beauty eyeshadow palettes include richer, darker tones that look great on medium to dark complexion tones. The eyeshadows are extremely pigmented, and each palette includes mattes, shimmers, metallics, and textured glitters in a variety of finishes. The palettes are meant to incorporate transition tones as well as deeper shades, allowing me to create a complete look with only one palette.
The palettes are on the pricey side, but I believe they are worth it because I always grab for my Huda Beauty palette. I’m a big fan of the high-quality, one-of-a-kind colour palettes. I don’t think you need to purchase them all; instead, pick a colour storey that appeals to you and invest in one palette.
A palette for Desert Dusk
The vibrant purple is the palette’s standout colour; it’s a beautiful jewel-toned shade for brown eyes. The textured glitters and shimmers are also highly pigmented and amazing. This one might be for you if you enjoy experimenting with colour and shimmers.
Palette in Rose Gold Remastered
This eyeshadow palette is a terrific all-in-one option. There are matte tones for the crease like black, deep brown, and lighter browns, as well as warm gold and rose shimmer and glitters. There are an infinite number of day and night looks you can build.
Palette Nude Obsessions (Light)
Simple neutral browns and pinks make up this palette, which is ideal for everyday neutral makeup. If you want to amp up a look yet prefer subdued tones, there are also shimmers.
NYX Cosmetics is a brand of cosmetics that is known for
There are some hits and misses when it comes to NYX Cosmetics. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Swear By It palette is incredibly inclusive and flattering to all complexion tones. The colour selection is extensive, and each eyeshadow has a deep tone, making it ideal for medium to deep complexion tones.
There’s a beautiful combination of cool tones like blues and greens (which look great on brown eyes) and warmer tones like yellows, browns, and reds, so the palette may be used to create numerous eye appearances.
Because it’s a larger palette with 40 shades, I believe it provides excellent value for money and is ideal as a one-stop eyeshadow palette.
Milani Cosmetics Swear By It Shadow Palette
Milani Cosmetics is a well-known, low-cost brand. The eyeshadow palettes, in particular, are near-perfect dupes for several high-end palettes, and the quality is comparable.
The Bold Obsessions eyeshadow palette features a rich colour storey that includes warm and vibrant shimmering gold, red and brown tones, light brown mattes, and darker mattes in brown and black, allowing you to create a comprehensive makeup look without having to seek another palette.
On medium skin tones, a modest daytime appearance can simply be built up with deeper tones for a more glam nighttime look. On brown eyes, the warm undertone of the entire palette will truly pop.
The compact size and huge mirror are added benefits that make it ideal for travel. You can’t go wrong with the pricing, either.
