Visual arts transform concepts and emotional strength into a visual representation through technical skill and creativity. What should be categorized as art is a topic of ongoing discussion.

Due to the extremely subjective nature of art, what one spectator may deem to be a work of art may not be regarded as such by another.

Art has changed and will continue to change over time, thus there may never be a universal agreement on what it is.

An object must be produced by skilled individuals in order to be considered a craft or trade. Arts & Crafts can take many different forms, such as weaving, carving, pottery, embroidery, macramé, jewelry, sewing, and quilting.

A craftsperson is a term used to describe someone employed in the maintenance or small-scale manufacture of things, historically created crafts. Craft can also be referred to as “handicraft,” and is distinguished from other mass-produced, easily accessible products by their hand-made nature.
