I talked about this with interior designers, architects, kitchen designers, realtors, editors, and others in and out of the design industry to get their opinions. The heart of the home, so the saying goes, is the kitchen. And we need to think it’s real. The kitchen is the heart of the house, no matter how big or little.

It is where the food is prepared; it nourishes friends, families, and communities around the world’s bodies, brains, and souls. Some people contend that although life may be created in the bedroom, it is most definitely lived there. Some tend to agree while others do not so much. What are your thoughts on this?

living rooms & Family rooms

This room’s significance appears to be greatly influenced by the size of the kitchen, the family, and the way of life. The kitchens in older houses were smaller, more segregated, and farther away from the living areas.

It was a contained space used almost exclusively for cooking that could be closed off to conceal the mess. In the neighboring dining and living rooms, family and friends would gather for meals. The dining and living rooms were given more consideration in ancient homes. The only thing about kitchens was that they were functional.
