Healing of America Tablet
I originally read The Healing of America Tablet: A Global Quest for Better, Cheaper, and Fairer Health Care, by T.R. Reid, when I was applying to clinical school fully expecting the wellbeing strategy questions I may be asked during interviews. Presently, north of three years after the fact, we wind up in the midst of a worldwide pandemic that has not just tried the limit of the U.S. medical care framework yet, in addition, brought a large number of the disparities intrinsic inside it into the public eye. Much under ordinary conditions, the possibility that our medical services framework is costly, wasteful, and tormented with disparity is a long way from the novel.
Information
The purpose of Reid’s quest was to find out why health care in other free market economies have better outcomes at a lower cost than in the U.S. On basic measures of health systems performance: coverage, quality, cost control and choice, the U.S. is far behind other countries.
